Morzine nestles at the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski region with a choice of
5 cable cars accessing the largest internationally linked ski area in the world.
The 650 kms of pistes suit the needs of all abilities of skier and snowboarder with
over 200 lifts linking the 12 ski stations in France and Switzerland.Take a voyage
of discovery and experience magnificent panoramas, fly down open snowfields, down
wooded paths in the shade of forest pines, negotiate challenging blacks and mogul
runs knowing there will be a cosy bar or sun drenched terrace awaiting you at the
bottom.

With altitudes ranging between 1000 and 2466 metres and situated further north than
other ski areas, the Portes du Soleil enjoys an excellent reputation for good snow,
the season stretching from mid December to the end of April.
As you travel around the region, you may never ski the same run twice and there
is almost always the choice of a hard or easy way down with a welcoming restaurant
or bar with terrace awaiting you, to relax and enjoy the sunshine and spectacular
scenery. If during your days on the slopes there is a white-out or snow fall, there
are lovely forest paths to investigate where you can be assured visibility. Snowboarders
are welcome in Les Portes du Soleil with the choice of three snow parks and frequent
competitions to watch that attract the best in the world.
